Natural Cough Medicine & Flu Remedies Haul
My daughter recently came down with a mild flu and we didn’t have any medicine on hand. So I decided I wanted to purchase medicine with the most natural ingredients I could find.
I decided to shop for some natural remedies for my other kids as well. If you are looking for medicine with natural ingredients for your family then you may want to stick around and check out these products I purchased.
I purchased these items from Target online through the Target App. I wanted to shop flu recovery products without drugs and artificial ingredients, but I also wanted to shop quickly. My goal was to get these virus fighting ingredients into my daughter’s body as soon as possible.
So here are the products I picked up along with a little bit of background information on them.
Zarbee’s Naturals Cough Syrup + Mucus & Immune
This cough syrup is for children from ages 2-12 years. I overlooked the age range on this cough syrup, which is a bit disappointing because my daughter is 13 years old. However, I still gave it to her since it’s only a one year difference. Also, all of the ingredients are completely natural. There are no drugs in this cough syrup and that’s one thing I love about it.
Zarbee’s Cough Syrup + Mucus & Immune is meant to relieve children 2-12 years of cough and mucus. It’s made with all natural ingredients such as Dark Honey Blend and English Ivy Leaf extract, Elderberry extract, vitamin C and Zinc. The Zinc helps support the immune system.
Other ingredients include water, natural flavors, and citric acid. It would be nice to know what those natural flavors are, but for now I’m happy the ingredients are natural.
What’s not in it? There are no drugs, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or dyes. It’s also gluten free.

These are made for children 5 years old and up. There are instructions on the bag for Adult use, so they are meant for grown ups as well. That’s a plus for me so I can take them as well.
I like that these are USDA Organic and specifically made to help the immune system. Nature’s Way Sambucus Elderberry Zinc Lozenges are made with vitamin C, Zinc, and Organic Black Elderberry extract. Other ingredients include organic tapioca syrup, organic can sugar, water, and natural flavors. Again, I wish I knew what those other natural flavors are.
Lolleez Organic Throat Soothing Pops For Kids With Organic Honey
Although these are labeled for kids, the directions on the package include adults and children 3 years old and older. It’s been years since I’ve had a taste for candy, but I will gladly treat myself to a Lolleez Organic Throat Soothing Pop to prevent a soar throat.
Lolleez Organic Throat Soothing Pops are made with organic ingredients. There are no GMOs or gluten and it’s dairy free. The active ingredient in each lollipop is pectin and there are many other inactive ingredients in each flavor. I purchased the variety pack including watermelon, strawberry and orange mango. Luden’s Assorted Flavors Throat Drops
I must have overlooked the ingredients in Luden’s Throat Drops because once my delivery arrived I checked in the ingredients and was a bit disappointed. I thought this was an all natural product, but I was wrong. The active ingredient is pectin but there are other ingredients such as corn syrup and FD&C blue number 2, red number 40, and blue number 1. I’m not familiar with many of the other ingredients and then there is soybean oil which is an oil I like to avoid when looking for healthy products.
Since I already purchased them, we’ll probably use them until I get a replacement.
Zarbee’s Naturals Baby Cough Syrup + Immune
I got this cough syrup for my 2 year old. It’s for children ages 12-24 months. Zarbee’s Baby Cough Syrup + Immune is is cherry flavored and made with dark honey, zinc, water, natural flavors and citric acid. It’s made to relieve cough. It should also sooth any hoarsness and dry throat caused by a cough.
There are no drugs, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or dyes. Zarbee’s Baby Cough Syrup is also gluten free.
Three other items I ordered included paper plates, disposable spoons, and hair gel. I know these items aren’t important to the topic, but I also wanted you to know the complete list of items in my shopping haul.
