My $50 Off Shopping Haul At Walmart
In one of my previous posts, How I Saved $50 gift shopping online, I talked about how I received big savings on my son’s birthday presents.
Where did I get these savings?
I shopped and Walmart through Instacart’s online delivery service. I received a promotion from Instacart that was valid for purchases made at Walmart through Instacart. It was a one-time promo for $50 off my next order. The customer was required to spend a minimum of $100 to get the discount.
How to save money shopping with Instacart and Walmart
If you’re familiar with using an online delivery service you know how fees can add up. That’s why I like to take advantage of different ways to save when using online delivery services, such as Instacart.
One way to take advantage of opportunities to save is by signing up to receive notifications when promotions are available. I do this with every online delivery service I use and find that these services frequently have discounts and promotions.
What items did I purchase?
I thought you might want to see the items I got during this shopping trip, so here they are.

I got my toddler the VTech Drop & Go Dump Truck
My son loves to play with the dump truck. The main thing he loves to do is drop the balls in the hole and watch them pop out into the dump box.

I also got him a 3 Little Ducks book to play with while he’s taking his bath. You can see it in the picture to the right above. The three Little Ducks song is also one of his favorite nursery rhyme songs to listen to.
Garanimals toddler t-shirt + shorts and batman pajamas
On the left is the Geranimals Toddler Boys Pocket Short Sleeve T-shirt and Terry Shorts. Both the t-shirt and shorts are made by Geranimals. I think it’s a cute little outfit for him to play in on a warm sunny day.
To the right are the Batman pajamas. But, I think we all know Batman when we see him, right? My daughter says he’s the coolest DC superhero without special powers.
Another Geranimals outfit & paw patrol sneakers
To the left is the Geranimals Boys Get Out And Explore Bronco T-shirt and Jersey Joggers. To the right are a pair of Paw Patrol Boys’ Licensed Athletic Sneakers. His face beams and he races to the TV whenever the Paw Patrol theme song is on.
Other items I purchased
I also bought two happy birthday gift bags. It was kind of hard to tell online what size they were. The description said they were large, but when they arrived they weren’t as big as I thought they would be.
But, they were large enough at least to fit all the gifts I got him from Walmart.
The last item I purchased for him that I don’t have pictures of was the Wonder Nation Toddler Boys Ankle Socks.
Besides that, I bought the Eco Professional Styling Gel and Scunci Elastic Hair Ties. These were the only other purchases I made and they were not part of his gifts.

Some of the items I originally ordered were not in stock, but overall I was satisfied with my savings.
