Healthy & Moist Baked Chicken Thighs

This chicken recipe is pretty basic but still delicious. It doesn’t involve a lot of ingredients and I think you can pretty much adjust the ingredients to your own liking.

I used onion powder, dried dill, parsley flakes, black pepper, paprika, and pink Himalayan salt because I usually have most of these seasonings all the time.

Also, I use them so frequently in my basic recipes, that I already have an idea what the recipe will taste like.

My kids will like the outcome. No unusual ingredients. No unpleasant surprises.

More About The Recipe …

We picked up the course Himalayan salt by mistake and if you look at the pictures in this post you’ll see large salt grains on the chicken.

We usually use the common size Himalayan salt grains so this was kind of disappointing, but the chicken still turned out good.

I used the course grain since that’s the only salt I had, but it would probably be best to use the small or common size salt grain in this recipe.

Prepping The Chicken

When I bake chicken I like to sprinkle the seasoning evenly over each piece of chicken, turn it over and repeat this step on the other side of each piece. That’s what I did while prepping this chicken.

For me, this is the best way to make sure each piece of chicken is evenly seasoned in order to savor the flavor in every bite.

That’s just the way I like to do it, but I know everyone may have their own unique way to season chicken. Use the technique that works best for you.

I wanted the chicken to be moist, slightly crispy, and to cook as quickly as possible. This is the reason I adjusted the temperature and flipped the chicken after 45 minutes.

I’m not a professional chef, but I know this method was recommended and it worked for me.

However, if you don’t want to go through the trouble of increasing the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit then you could just cook it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 hour or until the chicken is cooked completely through.

Or you could cook the chicken at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for possibly a shorter time or until cooked completely. But, always make sure your chicken is cooked properly.

Just remember if you do change the temperature or cook time I’m not sure how the chicken will turn out. It may or may not turn out moist and slightly crispy.

Now honestly, I’m not trying to be the worlds best chef. I’m satisfied just making healthy meals that my family loves (like these moist baked chicken thighs) and recipes you enjoy. And if you try this recipe I hope you like it too!
