My room redecoration update
I purchased these rugs to redecorate a room I used that served as a bedroom and office space. I hoped to transform this room at the speed of light. But, as it usually goes, the project moved slow as molasses.
I painted all the walls an ultra-white color. I chose ultra-white because I tend to favor natural light tones. Also, the room I redecorated is quite small. So, painting the walls white is a way to open up the little space. White helps me to feel refreshed, peaceful and calm.
I purchased natural and eco-friendly rugs
I purchased two rugs as well. The first was The Gray Barn Flying Turtle Natural Fiber Jute Rug. It’s a 5′ x 8′ area rug I purchased from Overstock.com. The second is the Hand Woven Chunky Natural Jute Farmhouse Area Rug. I got this one on Amazon and it’s made by nuLOOM. It’s 3′ x 5′ and the color is off-white.
When possible, I try to shop for natural materials. That’s why I chose Jute. I’ve never purchased or used this material prior to this. I may give you an update on how it turned out if you’re interested.
In case you’re not familiar, I’ll briefly share what Jute is.

Let me tell you a little about Jute.
Jute is a natural plant fiber, and also the name of the plant the material is made from. It’s strong, durable, and used to make burlap, rope, twine, paper, and fabrics. Another great thing about jute is that it’s eco-friendly. The plant fibers are 100 percent biodegradable.
My new natural body care products
I’ve updated my skincare routine a bit and I’m excited about these new products! I’ll be giving further info in soon-to-come posts. All of the items I got along with details and pictures will be in my upcoming haul and review content. But, here’s a brief sneak preview.
In my 5 Budget Friendly Morning Routine Products post I mentioned I would be trying a new natural toothpaste and how I couldn’t decide between Desert Essence tea tree oil and mint or tea tree oil and neem. Well, I chose tea tree oil and neem. I also got toddler toothpaste for my two-year-old that’s fluoride-free and safe to swallow. Additionally, I picked up eco-friendly toothbrushes for my kids and myself.
My daughter accidentally dropped and broke the pump of my Honest Beauty Gentle Gel Cleanser so I replaced it with a new bottle. 🙁🙂
I purchased two facial creams. They are Alpine Beauty Wildcrafted Actives Melt Moisturizer and the Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream. These two are a bit more costly in my opinion or depending on your current budget. However, I don’t mind spending more on quality items when I’m able.
Here’s a sneak peek at a few other skincare products I bought …
For my kids, I picked up body wash and lotion. They’re verified by the EWG. Everyone Coconut + Lemon Lotion and Everyone Berry Blast Kids Soap are the two I got. I shopped for personal and feminine hygiene too. Also, safe and eco-friendly baby care and more. All clean, non-toxic, and great for your skin!
If you’re interested in finding natural and clean body care products, that’s exactly what I’ll be sharing in my upcoming post.
